(a) (20130319) Public Video-Conference on West African Broadband Internet Initiatives at Stevens Institute of Technology on April 18, 2013
<http://tinyurl.com/cq6nync>

Dear Daniel:

(1) Referring to References (a) above, we would like to cordially invite you to our ÒGlobal Lecture Hall (GLH)Ó multipoint-to-multipoint, multimedia, interactive videoconferencing which is to be held in the morning (NYC time) of the coming April 18th (References (c) and (d) of Reference (a) above), which is centered at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

(2) Victor said that his ÒAfrica Coast to Europe (ACE)Ó ultra high speed optical fiber submarine cable <http://tinyurl.com/98to67z> will land to your Republic of Benin by the end of this year.  However, if you have Internet at 28.8 Kbps or above, you can participate in our GLH.

If you decide to participate, pls Inform of this event to your IT specialist so that Mike and/or Youcef will contact you (and then the IT specialist) to have rehearsals on (see Reference (e) in Reference (a) above);

(a) Individual connection with Skype once every week of the last two weeks in March, and

(b) Total connections with other 4 ECOWAS country colleagues once every week of the first two weeks in April.

(3) This April 18th occasion has the following two purposes;

(a) Announcement of the availability of broadband Internet along the west coast of African continent (see References (f) and (g) of Reference (a) above),

(b) Preparation for the planning workshop of our GEWS project (see References (h) and (i) of Reference (a) above), which will be held at the GLORIAD office at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (UTK) in this coming summer.

This GEWS project is to conduct collaborative research on the co-prosperity of ECOWAS countries by interlinking socio-economic-energy-environment simulation models of their countries.  This is the first step for constructing global simulation model in a global virtual supercomputer in a globally distributed simulation mode.

BTW, we plan to invite you to this workshop as soon as we get the NSF fund to discuss how to proceed this project — pls see the last page of the Reference (h) of Reference (a) above about the subsequent project fund raising and procedures.

As you may have already realized, this GLH videoconferencing with ECOWAS colleagues on April 18th at the Stevens Institute of Technology will be a prelude to this GEWS project, i.e., it will allow us to get know one another for subsequent collaborative research on their co-prosperity, stimulating young creative brainpower in those ECOWAS countries, searching for youth participation and training.

This April 18th event would then be a historic venture that can add reason and stability to our world.

(4) Since time is very short, I would greatly appreciate to hear of your response at your earliest convenience.

Best, Tak
